As February speeds along, Taco John’s is preparing for the release of another mouth-watering new menu item. TJ’s Fish Tacos are perfect for customers looking for lighter fare and great for those customers looking to catch something zesty and unique.
Taco John’s Fish Tacos are seasoned fish fillets rolled in a crunchy tortilla crust, which are then wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and topped with crisp lettuce, cheese and zesty Fajita Sour Cream. Plus, each Fish Taco comes with a wedge of fresh cut lime for the guest to squeeze over the entire taco.
The Lawrence & Schiller team wanted to give this delicious new menu item the messaging it deserved, and right away we knew that meant creating a bold campaign that was fun and light-hearted, but would also do a good job speaking to the quality of the product. Excitedly, we set out to recruit the perfect spokesman.
We approached Kent Hrbek about doing a spot for Taco John’s, and it wasn’t long before he had climbed aboard. For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Kent Hrbek is a two-time World Series champion baseball player, former host of a popular outdoor television show and a big fan of Taco John’s. Hrbek was gracious on set and did a phenomenal job communicating the quality of TJ’s Fish Tacos. Supporting the Hrbek-focused television commercials will be radio and an interactive digital game that lets users fish for coupons and other great offers.
The Fish Tacos promotion comes on the heels of the wildly successful Baja Boneless Wings promotion, which helped Taco John’s restaurants across the country increase sales by considerable margins. We are excited to see Fish Tacos continue this trend of increased same store sales.
